Sure looks like the BW, excuse me, Big Lots caved. It will be interfesting to find out the final terms of the deal.

Sure looks like the BW, excuse me, Big Lots caved. It will be interfesting to find out the final terms of the deal. As we suspected all along, money talks. Loudly. BSU Prez Bob Kustra: "It is a bus conference. They were concerned about the flights to Boise. We'll deal with that from a financial standpoint," he said. "... We're going to pay. The Big East is going to participate in that. Again, when it's all said and done it will be a more favorable agreement or arrangement than we feel we had under the WAC and it will also be one that is financially attractive to the Big West and takes care of concerns that they've had since the beginning." Big Lots decided a few shuttlecocks, a fungo bat and a sleeve of proVs plus not losing their golden goose was worth putting a few more miles on the bus

Sure looks like the BW, excuse me, Big Lots caved. It will be interfesting to find out the final terms of the deal. Boise State ("SDSU's buddy") is to pay the big West ("Big lots") in the form of 30 minutes of cage time, half a dozen pairs of volleyball shorts, and a set of tailor made irons; SDSU's buddy is also to pay the Big Lots for 2 oil changes and 1 tire rotation anualy. SDSU's buddy's buddy (Golden Goose) agrees to fill Big Lots' gyms and retain Tony Gwynn (horseshit manager) so that horseshit manager can not compete in Big Lots baseball.

Bobby K was Lt. Governor in Illinois - if anyone knows someone that would know where the bodies are buried, it's B.K.

Seems to me this will help recruiting in the BW. Not just a bus league anymore at no extra cost. Win = Win!

Yeah, we already knew that. It's not news that SDSU has been pressuring the BWC to admit Boise State and that "according to them" SDSU would not join without Boise. It was a bluff. And whether or not it made a difference, we don't know. You can also see that Kustra bluffed with the Big East and MWC. Was Boise really going to pull out of the BE? I doubt it.

This guy knows how to get things done. He was on the selection Committee an Boise was not even a member of the Big East yet.
Thank you BYU. We may get more TV money then they get from ESPN.
I think they will have to join the Big East.
The Big East will be telling the net works that they will have a new school joining who will bring in a National fan base.
I believe the State of Calif. will follow us if we get good, because we are in a big 6 conference.
Basketball shows that we can get a big following. The schools in the BW will follow Aztec football.
We are an under dog and UCLA and USC are not liked by these schools.

It would be nice if, eventually, those details were to come out. Don't hold your breath. Basically, I think the BWC wanted something above and beyond travel expenses. Something more than what UH paid, on the basis that Boise was a renter, not a buyer. We'll see if that turns out to be what we get.
