I'm the last one to ask about sports TV, as the array of networks, packages, etc, is now completely bewildering to me. But the L.A. Times today has an article on the start of the Pac-12 network, and our game against UW is the first football game that they will be carrying. The article stated that Pac-12.org has a "channel finder" to unconfuse the multitudes, which of course includes me. And, well, below are the results... www.pac-12.org/SPORTS/Pac12Networks/ChannelFinder.aspxI'm still confused because I entered my Cox Communications San Diego area zip code and it joyously announced YES!! you do get the Pac-12 Network... ... in Los Angeles. Don't know how that impacts me 100 miles south. But if you're in L.A., I suppose this is tremendous news. I suppose I can call Cox San Diego and just ask -- because they always hop right to it with the speediest and most knowledgeable of service. Sometimes, I can overstate things. The other bad news in the L.A. Times article is that those of you who have satellite hook-ups (DirecTV, ATT Universe, etc), there really is no contract yet, though they are feverishly working at it. You North County Padre fans know how that goes. Good luck, everyone.

One of the "perks" of living in the Bay Area. No shortage of Pac-12 games, that's for sure...

I'm still confused because I entered my Cox Communications San Diego area zip code and it joyously announced YES!! you do get the Pac-12 Network... ... in Los Angeles. Good luck, everyone. If its like mine it doesn't say you get it IN los angeles it says 315-Los Angeles 1315 HD Los Angeles What that means is you get the LA version of the PAC-12 Network. I think its kind of like Fox Sports where its regional so most of your coverage will be SC and ucla. From their website How do I get Pac-12 Networks? If you live within the Pac-12 geographical footprint (Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Nevada) and you subscribe to one of our four video partners (Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox, Bright House Networks), you will receive the Pac-12 network that is tailored to your region on either basic cable or the digital basic level of service. Your Pac-12 Networks channel will include nationally televised live events as well as events targeted to your region.

Thanks. Looks like Cox San Diego customers get Pac-12 and Big Ten channels starting tomorrow. YES! I had inquired at Cox, and they called me back - incredibly - and confirmed that they will carry the Pac 12 and Big 10 starting tomorrow. If you have the Advanced and Sports and Information Packages, there's no extra charge. the channels are 314/1314 for the Pac 12 Networks.

What I can't figure out is why the PAC 12 feels like they invented the wheel by having a network tv station. MWC was the first....too bad they couldn't make it work.

well the Pac-12 Network is now live....the question about the Aztec game is will it still be shown down here? There is the Pac-12 National Network, then the Pac-12 regional networks (which is what is being shown down here, Pac-12 LA). COX doesn't get the National network, which I'm sure is what will show the Washington/SDSU game. I wonder if it will be simulcasted on the regional networks.

Time Warner San Diego has Pac-12 LA on channel 818 and the National Network on 819. I am not 100% but I would think the games will be simulcast, regardless of what region you are in.

So did any of my fellow Cox subscribers in San Diego try to turn on the Pac-12 Network last night to see if we do, indeed, get it??

I'm afraid to even ask about TimeWarner...probably going to get laughed off the board asking if TW has Pac-12 channel

I'm afraid to even ask about TimeWarner...probably going to get laughed off the board asking if TW has Pac-12 channel They do in fact have it and the stations were live last night. There are two channels, the region-specific one and the national one, that would be in cluded in the TW Sports Pack (non-HD channels in the 400s group and the HD channels are somewhere in the 800s).
