From Hunter Hewitt's blog... aztecsforlife.com/2012/08/09/meet-the-aztecs-qa-with-seamus-mcmorrow/Q: What is the farthest field goal you have ever made in a game and in practice? A: I made a 58-yarder my junior year against Scripps Ranch High School. In practice, I made a 65-yarder once. Holy crap this kid could be really good btw - let's keep the discussion to current Aztecs, please

I remember when he signed, I found videos of him hitting multiple 40+ FGs and a few game winners too. He is good under pressure and has a leg. Our whole offense will be changed now that we don't have to punt or go for it on 4th when we hit the 30 yrd line

If I interviewed him:
Q: Do you think your name is great? I sure do.
Q: Do you like your first or last name better? Cause both are pretty neat.
Q: How's the whole kicking thing going?

Our ST coach will have to nurture his psyche. That's some one Abel Perez didn't have and he got worse as the season went on.

If, he can hit them from 65 yards that's great! Of course, we would love to have a kicker that can hit one when you need it. In the final seconds with the pressure is on! But, that takes practice, and determination. Plus, there are other players involved in making that happen. Takes an accurate long snapper, and a smart holder with great hands. Then you cannot forget the line all have to complete their blocking assignments, or the whole attempt is ruined.

I agree, consistency with the 25-40 yarders is much more important than a 65 yarder once every blue moon

This would be much more interesting. I can't believe anyone wanted to ask a kicker questions. Next up we interview the long snapper... Sign me up!

I remember how fired up I was when I saw Abel Perez video two years ago. He was damn good his junior year, and then............. Kickers kinda remind me of golfers, it is mostly between the ears.
