Big problem with very little leadership from Washington and poor savings and investment rate by most of us.

Stable dollar and low inflation coupled with spending on little besides Defense. Only regulation that makes sense. Get liberals out of the way of the economy in general and things like retirement will take care of themselves for most people. How you doing on getting =short on track? How about a real fix for Social Security

Well, if you can ever get people who work for the government and the people that run government to (...............................................................edited........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................), then things would work. But you can't, can you?

Let's take an example of a retired police officer who draws a $375,000 a year pension with full medical benefits. That amount of pay and benefits could support the retiree and two cops on the police force working to serve and protect, currently. But, the retiree wouldn't ever think to voluntarily request a reduction.
But, offer this. The actual amount the retiree receives AFTER taxes is $190,000. So, you offer a reduction to $170,000, but make it tax free. This gives you $205,000 savings and the ability to hire two cops on the beat currently, and the retiree really, nets to a ten percent cash flow reduction over all. And, I am sure nearly everyone, except Williams' wife, could live off $170k a year, these days.
Ya think?
