I just watched Dr. No and I want Ursula Andress. Unfortunately we'll both likely get what we want, but she'll be 80 years old and a middle tier bowl game

Check out the comments about this league. UGH. And to think that the MWC is about ten times worse an option. Don't worry JYP... no need to 'UGH', it will all work out.

The new MWC is the old WAC, but with some of the worst football programs in D1 and with no TV contract. What a crappy conference. It's just a shame we can't break into the Pac-10. Besides crappy ASU, WSU and OSU, what the F are Utah and (especially) Colorado doing in the Pac-10? Grrrr....

Well actually Utah was invited because they have a strong fan base, a solid foundation and unlike SDSU successfully represented the MW when they were a member. (What happens down the road for Utah remains to be seen, but I digress). I continue to find it humorous how so many are willing to slam the MW, a conference that will generate a cohesive product, manage expectations, have top 25 potential among remaining programs and maybe even an occasional upper tier bowl game. And the new MW basketball has a lot of entertainment potential. The BE on the other hand still wants to be a major player. Yes, SDSU and BSU and the other newbies will get more money, I guess, while the legacy members can only remember what once was. Yes, the MW is truly a terrible option for a program as successful and with such a strong fan base as SDSU. State helped make that conference successful, right? So now it will move on to a conference more in line with its level of success. Please. As the saying goes, "you may think your sh*t don't stink, but your farts give you away". Sadly, I've long accepted the reality my Alma Mater's football team and the BE deserve each other. A river in Egypt.

SDSU led the MWC in attendance last uear. What new MWC team has Top 25 potential? I think I have a new tag line for you... Ignorance is bliss.

It is a birthright for reiterateaztec to be able to hear fans in the state of utah comment on the physical appearance of our coaches. Damn you Jimbo Sterk for taking that away from him.

Anybody have an idea why they would adopt this "zipper" scheduling practice? Why wouldn't they want to keep the more geographically proximal schools together? Simply sounds more expensive to me.

Gives everyone a shot at games in Ca, Fl and Tx. All can then take advantage of recruiting in these States.

The PAC invited CU as a way to cull one of the Texas Sisters away from UT. When UT decided to stay, the PAC12 was left with 11 members and a need for 12th for the Championship game. Lucky for Utah, the NorCal's hate BYU.

Yeah this format seems to have a lot of momentum - but I hope they go with a more traditional E/W format.

BTW, I'm not sure how many realize it but it behooves us to have UNM continue to have a completely miserable football program while also being unable to ever win more than one game in the NCAAs. The less competition the better.

Too many Aztec fans probably think that by slamming the MWC it will justify the move to a conference 3500 miles away. Your post is one of the most most grounded responses I have seen. Things may work out for both BSU and SDSU but right now I think both teams are holding on 17 with the dealer showing a face card. Time will tell how this whole mess washes out. Personally I would have loved it if we stayed in the MWC with Boise St.

If we thought it was a $#!+ conference before, which it was, why would it be great when every respectable school is leaving? It was ok at it's peak, bad after the first wave of defections, and will be nearing Sun Belt status shortly. You not liking the move doesn't change that. Sent from my PC36100 using proboards
