Here's why government regulation can hurt.

Spain is a good example. The government thinks that it is being humane to its workers. If there were such a thing as a free lunch, that attitude might be justified.

I spoke to a woman last week who is up-side-down on her mortgage loan. She has been desparate. She's working four part-time jobs to make ends meet with very little full time jobs available. She has sent in to Wells Fargo, five loan modifications. She is beside herself and about nine months ago wrote to the Prezident for help. She received a response from the U. S. Treasury Department. All they did was attach a blank, "loan modification" application in their response.

Wow.
