One of many problems in Iran. You would think that governments would learn the lessons of Prohibition. We might even think along those lines for drugs. The penalties should be for crime committed under the influence and those penalties should be Draconian. A libertarian approach for use and maybe get some tax income would be good both in Iran and here at home. My views have changed a little over time, but not on how stupid drug use is, only that it should be individual choice.
