i'm kind of surprised that those of you that had GA seats last year and requested upgrades to seatbacks did not get them but I was able to get 3 seatbacks and I wasn't a ticket holder last year? I'm not complaining but it doesn't seem to make sense that I got a priority over past season ticket holders that requested an upgrade. And I only had 2 priority points by donating this year. I don't know for sure, but it seems that those requesting 3 seats got a slightly higher position because of the reluctance of the ticket office to leave behind single seats...sounds like some people with 3 points didn't get seatbacks while those with 2 did because of this.

Kind of strange... But maybe its because of the sections i requested? I was shooting for 3 tix in the $130 range which might have been all taken already? The REALLY strange thing is that my 3 tix aren't even together... 2 are side by side and 1 is two sections over. That's why I was thinking that maybe GA was sticking around again, even though we've all heard otherwise.

Anybody know where they are at on phone calls and invoices in the mail??
I've got what I wanted for this coming season, but I'm a little concerned for my single-ticket friend who's had a season seat for the past two years. No call from SDSU for my friend. No invoice. She called in once about a month ago and basically got blown off by some sophomore hack that was tending the office lines -- so that's kind of dissuaded her from making another call. She's on vacation right now, but she'll want to know when she gets back.

I have to say I'm disappointed with the Athletic Department and their rationale of allowing people to add more seats to existing ticket plans before first considering seat upgrade requests from existing season ticket holders.
Anyone share my disappointment or care to defend the decision to allocate more seats before considering seat upgrades?

I'm way out of my element here, but does this number from the UT article seem high to anyone else?
"Subtract another 2,318 seats for trade-outs, media, visiting team allotments, sponsors, TV camera positions and other reasons..."
If you limit visiting teams to 500 (which they should) you are giving away almost 1,800 seats a game? Seems like a lot! I'm betting those account for a lot of the empty seats we see at games too.

Anyone share my disappointment or care to defend the decision to allocate more seats before considering seat upgrades? The point system has been explained on here many times. Additions did not go ahead of upgrades...it all had to do with the season ticket holder's point total. Someone with 20 points got to upgrade their seats...before someone with 19 points added seats. Never going to make everyone happy.

Makes sense to me. My guess would be that the certified 12.414 capacity goes for this configuration of the arena that hasn't been used in years. Combine that with the sections converted for the pep band/dance team/camera riser, and a portion of the original 12,414 capacity is physically limited by the current configuration.

Hi guys, for what it's worth: I am a new season ticket holder, put deposit down in February, 1 point (made a $125 donation), and got my tickets assigned last week (actually, when I called them last week they said the seats were officially assigned the week before but they hadn't sent the invoice yet). My actual invoice is dated 8/6.
I would conclude from that that they have already gone through all of the existing season ticket holders...?

Praying.

I got a letter telling me that they could not find seats together, but I could call and get separate seats or get a refund... I only wanted a seat for myself. I am confused. Calling tomorrow.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I didn't order multiple tickets. Soo... getting separate seats doesn't make sense.

A friend of mine who put in for new season tickets (pretty early on in the process) was called last week but the only offering was non-seatback tickets so he decided not to purchase. So there is hope for people with 0 points.
