The next Miles Burris? The kid has size, likes to hit and can cover lots of ground.

John Featherstone (Aztec WR in '69) is the HC at El Camino.

I interned as an Athletic Trainer long ago at El Camino. Featherstone is a great coach and the players coming out of El Camino are some of the best among JC's. El Camino has a history of being a powerhouse and consistently produces quality teams.

I'm curious, how did he manage to slip under the radar all these months?

El Camino usually pipelines players to the Pac-12 and other powerhouses. Good to see a change here, especially with one of their top players.

First El Camino player in several years. Why is that? Has there been some friction/apathy between Featherstone and his alma mater? I understand Largent's partner in crime, Kellen Lockwood, is going to walk on. That will give us two good sized LBers-6-4, 235, with playing experience.

This raises a concern to me. How did the Aztecs not sign one LB in recruiting this year when it is an area of need? Especially in a defense that relies on LB's. Why are they having to rely on signing a JC guy in June? Rocky seems like he can coach, but can he recruit?

Hunter 6-0/205 Linebacker FR 53 Ryan Jack 6-1/210 Linebacker FR HS 45 Andrew Feaster 6-0/210 Linebacker SO 54 Micah Seau Was not a priority, we have quite a few linebackers. Also, some of the bigger runningbacks will likley end up there. I would rather have two 6 '210 linebacke'sr who can run 4.5, alternating than one 6'3 240 one that runs a 4.8.

I think Rocky knew he would have Seau and Jack coming in this year as they both could not play last year. He addressed other areas of need and really only needed one LB in this class. This one is good so he did his job.

He committed to SDSU shortly after signing day, he wasn't able to officially sign until his grades were in order. It's not like they just found him.

Hopefully the ones on board will make an impact. I had been reading that they did not have many quality LB's on board. You would think that the guy that coached up Brian Urlacher in this defense would have no problems recruiting LB's and DB's.
