A shooting guard that made 22 of 76 3FGs (29%) and 49 of 74 free throws (66%)? Just looking at those stats, it's hard fro me to get terribly excited for the kid.

I think Fish and staff see "more" than just the stats. He could be another gem nobody has on their radar. A late push by the bluebloods will be in vain, just like with Kawhi.

Randolph was the only legit scorer on his HS squad. Tends to lead to forced shots. Could be a very hot prospect by end of the '12-'13 season.

Not a big surprise...
Scott Sommerþ@scottsommer21 RT @brandolph3: I love SDSU I really liked the campus and the coaches. Coach fisher is a great coach
I have a feeling he will be commiting to SDSU in the near future - seems like a good fit.

Wow what a difference a few years make. A 3 star Rivals top 150 prospect and I am wondering if he's good enough for the program.
It wasn't long ago we I would have been drooling over the idea of landing a top 150 PG.

We've watched a bunch of Randolph's games and you are correct. He wants to be/projects to be a PG but the Vikings have him as their two guard. He is athletic and looks to smash on opposing players on the break. I know SDSU was his first offer. His pops has been sporting the same SDSU sweater for over a year now lol. I fully expect BR to have a monster Sr year. But then again, St Bernard just lost their coach to Redondo Union HS (he lead them to a City District title last year). Look at that, I got through an entire post without mocking Cal State San Diego... well almost =)

Brandon Randolph is definitely a game changer. This kid has all the intangibles to be All-Conference as a freshmen. You don't win the John R. Wooden Award (CIF Southern Section Player of the Year Division 5 and 5AA) and not be a good player.... He averaged 19pts and 5 rebounds a game as SG....I'm sure Coach Fish know what he's doing by offering a scholarship. And like most scoring machine they do occasional force shots... smh! Where ever this kid sign that school will be getting a real sleeper.... Remember I told you so......
