Quality vs Quantity has nothing to do with the lethargic start we seem to be having. I would think that the way the program has progressed in the last few years and joining the Big East would have had some residual results by now in our recruiting. Are we having prospects visiting this summer? Very little info. It seems that lots of players who have visited Aizona and Boise recently have made the decision and committed over us and other schools. Yes, some players defect before signing but the majority honor their commits and stay with their original choice. It's not like players won't have a chance to contribute early....if they're good enough to make the 2-deep....they will play. Think Coach White and crew need to start showing their abilities to start locking up some of these recruits.

Especially when you consider our first commit last year flopped to BSU on signing day.

No panic here....just trying to throw some rationality into the mix.

No panic here....just trying to throw some rationality into the mix. Rationality? Like calling our recruiting start "lethargic" when on this date last year we had three commits. Rationality? Like questioning Coach White's ability as a recruiter when he was the recruiter of the year in the MWC last year. If August comes around and we're still sitting on one commit, then we can start to panic.

No problem...you keep looking forward through the rear view mirror and not have any expectations.....if that makes you feel better. These are 'opinions", if you have trouble with that........tough!

The ones that flip are usually higher rated prospects with multiple high level options. I like that the staff is going after a lot of 4 stars and high 3 stars, but they also know their place in the recruiting world. They know they are long shots with these types of players, but at least they are throwing their name into the hat. What worries me is that the second and third tier prospects (low 3 star and 2 stars) that we usually recruit are holding out for better offers. We are still the 3rd or 4th option with a lot of these guys.

Basic accounting should be stressed to these recruits. First there ea 20 schloies. With 1 accounted for and 1 for a QB, there are 18 slots. Now 4 OL and 4 DL reduce number to 10. Probably 1 RB to 9; then 3 CB's to 6; 3 WR's to 3 and 3 LB's and the its time to check out.
The recruiters are telling the recruits the same thing. Once a slot is gone just like the NFL draft, there will be a run on that position by the recruits.
Next 90 days should clear up the picture. Probably have 6 filled by Labor Day and then 1 a week as we march to year end.
