This is good news because he was waiting for our offer. Hopefully he decides to stay home and play for the home team. He would be a great first local commit for this recruiting class. We have a very legit chance at getting him.

Any update on him? Would be nice to have some San Diego kids on the team.

He should enjoy playing on a bad PAC team...

At least he is close enough to drive home every weekend when he realizes how much it sucks there...

No need to hate. Its pretty impressive that a program coming off only 3 wins can still get a preseason commit from a player as talented as Holiday.

I agree with this for the most part, but being a Pac school does put you at an advantage in recruiting, obviously more so out here (west). Plus they have Rich Rod out there now, and I'm sure he's selling snake oil to those kids. Meanwhile, our first BE class still stands at 1 commit... irritating.

Ah yes, the CB from SD who was so ecstatic about getting an offer from us...that he then said he was in no hurry to make a commit to anyone soon...oooops , UA yesterday....he can join the DE from New Mexico that was so happy to get an offer from us.........oooooops, UA a few days ago. Rich Rod is doing a helluva recruiting job there right now with 17 commits as of today. I'm really getting underwhelmed with our progress on recruiting this season......even CSU has 5 commits. This staff had better turn up the heat!

I’m just saying there's nothing wrong with using your conference affiliation as an advantage to lure recruits. Especially if the competition are members of "smaller" conferences.

no way csu has five commits They do. That doesn't really mean anything though. We have one less recruit than we did at this time last year and we are going after a significantly higher rated group of kids.
