USC Trojansþ@USC_Athletics QB Jesse Scroggins will transfer from USC. He is academically eligible after "a strong spring semester in the classroom," Lane Kiffin said. If that's the case, I wouldn't doubt that he ends up here. It would be fantastic if he ended up here. Wood worthy!!!

If that's the case, I wouldn't doubt that he ends up here. Not that it carries any weight, but on of the comments (poster) from the article above... A couple friends within the USC school system have told me that academics were not the issue for Jesse Scroggins. I can't confirm it but it looks like he saw his name behind Kessler and Wittek and figured his time was up.

This is what the always reliable Scott Wolfe had to say on the matter... www.insidesocal.com/usc/archives/2012/06/on-scroggins-1.htmlIf he is indeed eligible, then the "smart" thing to do is play JC for a year and transfer back to another Pac school that would probably take him in a heart beat. But I guess if he is ineligible, he can still try to "JC back to Pac" route if he really wanted. Or he can come here and compete for the job in 2013.

So his options are 1- play a year of football 2- sit out a year of football. wouldn't be surprised if he went to JC.

A player with his kind of talent, why waste a year of it at a JC? JC ball is not going to make him any better. He was going against SC's defense before.

If he plays, he could still get better and open up new possibilities. I'm not saying he's def JC bound but if it were me I would go that route. He's a football player. I would think he would want to play football.

The only risk he'd be taking is the greater chance of injury playing for a JC and losing any chance at a D1 offer vs taking an offer now and working towards starting after sitting.

He gives himself a better chance to start at his next school by getting there ASAP and learning the offense. A few months of reading JC defenses isn't going to be more beneficial than learningman offense and getting in tune with his receivers. Just about any other position I'd agree with you, but not QB. A player with his kind of talent, why waste a year of it at a JC? JC ball is not going to make him any better. He was going against SC's defense before. He doesn't have a redshirt year left Tom. He's probably tired of watching and probably wants some action even if its JC but I can't speak for him.

Montana expelled their starting QB b/c of criminal allegations against him. Wouldn't be surprise to see him land there. Also, wouldn't be surprise to see him at UNLV, UNM or SJSU etc.

He would have to sit out a year at all of them except Montana.

Omar something, then he ended up leaving the program. Montana may make sense for him. They have a good program there.
