I think you are really trying hard to embarrass Fox News, but my reaction basically is to shrug. There's just no "there" there. Fox News has not taken any official position on the (near) Ground Zero Mosque. It is, of course, quite true that some of the hosts of the opinion shows (Hannity especially) have attacked the project, but that is different. Based on information in the item you linked, Murdoch has a business relationship with a power Saudi prince. But Murdoch himself certainly is not sponsoring the mosque. What are you trying to say? That businessmen operate in ways that they think will benefit their enterprises? Now there's a shocker! Oh, yes; what you are hinting at does smack a bit of guilt by association. (By the way, just for the record, I am not particularly opposed to the Cordoba project. I'm not in favor of it either, and I can understand why some people are disturbed by some of the things this Imam Rauf has said. In the final analysis, if the thing gets built, life will go on in New York City.) AzWm

I am having a little bit of trouble seeing what the issue is. Just about all big business people play both sides politically. I see this as worthy of a big yawn.

There is apart of me that wants to see the Victory Mosque built, so that I can turn on the news one morning to see the smoke billowing to the sky, as it would surely be bombed, by someone, once built.

Turn about is fair play. I am waiting for some Texan (Don't mess with Texas as they have a different mindset from the rest of the nation.) to decide that he needs to lead a terror group that takes out Radical Islamic targets of opportunity. According to the way he will think, if you are Radical Islamic and you are in this country, you have one certain right, and that is the right to die for your fanatical beliefs. The Radical Right already has a list of the Islamic Mosques that have Radical Islamic immans teaching Saturday School Classes in them. I expect that those will be the mosques that will be targeted.

Hoping to see a large number of New Yorkers bombed? Classy post. I am not sure that he is hoping for that, but would not be surprised if it were to happen. I speculated on a similar theme early on. It is not about being classy or not, but about what are realistic threats to Muslims in this present political climate. I don't think I would shed many tears if a bus load of radical muslims was run through a wood chipper. Notice I said radical.

I agree with Newt Gingrich in that we let them put in a mosque there after the Saudi's et al., allow christian churches and jewish synagogues(sp) to be built in their countries, and to allow visitors to enter mecca.
Until then, no mosque.
