Freshtodeath is right as usual. X has plataued and looked slow to me. We need all the five stars talents we can get to win more then one game in the tourneyment.

X will be just fine next year, as long as we get an actual low post presence.
With X, Taps, JF, Rahon, Shrigley and LBF... we should be able to keep max minutes to 30/game tops. These guys were dead today because of an 8 man rotation... not a problem next year as we'll have at least a 12 man rotation:
X (LBF) Taps (Rahon, Shrigley) JF (Polee) Shepard / O'Brien (Stephens) Spencer (Johnson)

We are in no position to turn away 5 stars players like Jabari Brown and Josiah Turner. Do you see any elite 8, final four, or national championship banner hanging in the roof? Do you see Jabari Brown collecting splinters on the SDSU bench as a transfer? No! That should be enough to tell you what Steve Fisher is looking for in transfers and recruits. I have a feeling you won't be seeing Turner there either! Sometimes all those stars go to a guys head just sometimes..........

Lesser talented players that have chemistry and play together will beat a team of individual stars on most days. 7-10 years ago the coaching staff still had to take chances on troubled players with issues (grades or a diva mentality) ... we should be long past that now?
Iowa State is the new destination resort for hoops divas. I hope he matures and finds success ... just not with us.

So how would everyone feel if Glen Rice Jr. transferred after what happened at Gtech? I believe EL mention he might be on SDSU's radar...Maybe as a favor for his dad. Not sure how true this though. If it did happen he would probably have to walk-on..

If it did happen he would probably have to walk-on.. We need to SLOWLY move away from tranfers... and concentrate more on HS talent. Having guys for 4 years is a huge plus, rather than having to reload every 2 years. One transfer and 2-3 HS kids per year should be a long term goal.

What's wrong with recruiting a head case if they are great athletes? Reeves Nelson sure worked out for UCLA

I'll bet X has some kind of knee procedure announced in the next week or so to clean up his troublesome knee!

No two cases are alike, and just mentioning a single glaring failure doesn't prove a thing. I trust Fish to only take the right risks, and he will. So I'm not worried.

This is a dumb post that adds nothing to the discussion. No two cases are alike, and just mentioning a single glaring failure doesn't prove a thing. I trust Fish to only take the right risks, and he will. So I'm not worried. Reeves Nelson is a special sort of headcase. There are plenty of examples of kids who transfer and get an undeserved bad rap because they are transferring. Taking one extreme example of a kid who very clearly has problems is not proving a point. And really, I just trust that Fish won't take on a headcase, so if he IS one, Fish won't even consider bringing him on, and if he isn't, who knows. Bringing up examples of highly-rated athletes who are headcases adds nothing to discussion?
