Just heard about this story on ESPN, paying players to injure the opponents. I don't know why I'm not shocked, but it turns my stomach. Especially when I think about that monstrous hit on Bret Favre that probably ended his career.
I think the NFL should remove the GM, COACH and take away their SuperBowl Trophy.
And now they're saying that Williams the defensive coordinator for the Saints, now with St. Louis, was a defensive coach with Tennessee when Merriman was knocked out with a cheap hit that ended his career!!! The Chargers defense went downhill after that.

Yup, Saints got what they deserved. $500,000 fine, Greg Williams suspended indefinatley, Paton suspended for 1 year. Still may be more coming.
Still think they should have taken away their SuperBowl trophy.

There is no way they take away the trophy that saved a city....They would equate that to hitting them with another Katrina, NOOOOOO!!!!! This is the end of the punishment; I would imagine that the Saints fire all involved and just move on.

Suppose you're right about that, doesn't mean they don't deserve to have the TROPHY taken away.
As far as feeling sorry for NO, I got over that after my trip to the NO Bowl. All they did was trash talk about how could we dare treat Brees and Sproles by dumping them like that. They should be thanking us that we did. Anyways, it was just payback for NO giving us Chuck Muncie and Wes Chandler.
