Wow, a tough read there without any punctuation marks. I thought only the younger folks wrote like this - and used words like "tuffer".

More than athletes, which SDSU has plenty of, we need shooters!

That's just oddly great. How is it SDSU (who finds diamonds-in-the-rough) is recruiting this kid all the way in MIN ahead of so many nearby Big 12 schools? We really have this talent evaluation thing down.

Hard to get a read on this kid in that video from the article. The competition looks really weak. He has a nice pull up jumper, but he didn't seem to stretch too far beyond the high school 3 point line.

He doesn't seem overly athletic, but man he has a sweet stroke - and that is what we need right now for our future. If he can't play defense, he won't get much time with Fisher.
Manroop seems to have a little more "shake and bake" to me, where Anders is less likely to take the ball to the hole.

After getting all this athleticism in our transfers and incoming freshmen, shooters are what we need with Taps/Rahon leaving after next year. Those are some serious shoes to fill.

I'd keep him in the corner/baseline or beyond the arc. Let him wait for the kick out (ala Rahon) and hit the easy jumpers. He does have a decent defensive game (look at all the steals) which I know Fisher will covet. To me he's more Rahon-like than Steve Sir-ish, he knows how to create an outside shot but seems to have trouble penetrating. It will be interesting how he gels with a more athletic squad.
Oldie Out

Oldie Out Uhh, this is a really nice, quality kid that seems as unlikely a fit as an Aztec as one can possibly imagine. He has a sweet stroke, is very fast- not quick, but is extremely undersized and under- athletic, physically he couldn't carry Steve Sir's jock (Sir was a great MN player, playing at the highest level in the Twin Cities Metro area), Sir was 6'6", 200 lbs.- this kid is barely 6' and it's doubtful that he weighs more than 140lbs.- and doesn't have Sir's range or consistency- it is a stretch to imagine that he could get his shot off against decent D-I competition, let alone play defense at that level . When I have watched him play, because of his lack of body strength, he has trouble penetrating and frequently settles for the mid-range pull-up against below-average defenders. The highlights you are seeing on Youtube are against very weak competition and Broman and his younger brother play uptempo- generating lots of cheap points and also play the entire game- with virtually no supporting cast- NE Minnesota best athletes play hockey. The local gurus project Broman out as a good D-2 player, I haven't seen any published offers yet, with minor interest from some mid-majors (South Dakota State, Vermont). Lots of D-I players in 2013 in Minnesota that could help the Aztecs, it's unlikely that Broman is one of them.

I just don't see this kid being able to get his shot off at the D1 level. He's not quick enough to play PG and is too small for the SG position. I was expecting to see a kid with Range way out beyond the three point line like Jimmer, but most of his shots were just at the 3 point arc or a pull up from 12 feet that he will never get in college. I would be very surprised if the Aztecs ever offer him a scholarship. Just don't see it.
In fact, I'm betting that offer/interest is actually South Dakota State University not the real SDSU! C'mon people the Aztecs are a top 25 program, this kid does not have anywhere near the talent level to play with the Aztecs.
