Really sad to hear this. I thought he had a bright future ahead of him on the football field. That is great that they will honor his scholarship. Best of luck to you Preston in whatever you decide to do in life.

A loss to the program, but the outcome could have been so much worse. I'm very proud of Hoke for honoring Preston's schollie - not surprised by the action, but still proud. A class act.
Best of luck to Preston - his athletic career may have ended, but there's a reason we say Aztec for Life!

As I said when I heard the nature of his absence, a heart condition forced a good friend of mine to quit our HS basketball team. However, my friend never had any other ill effects from his problem so here's hoping the same will be true of King.

He is doing the right thing and Hoke is doing the right thing. There are things in life that are more important than football.
