I don't believe it. You would think if EL was confident, it wouldn't have been a little nugget at the end of the page.
But who knows, shep has been even more quiet since the trip, which is strange.

Winston has a good head on his shoulders, and I think he will experience his life take off in a fascinating way when he commits to the Aztecs. Shepard signs with SDSU, and all his dreams come true.

If we beat UNLV this Saturday Shepard may cement his decision even faster?

I think because he has just written a long article about the visit, he didn't feel the need to write about something that is kind of speculation. But from Edward's tweets, he does sound pretty confident about our chances.

If we beat UNLV this Saturday Shepard may cement his decision even faster? I've read that recruits aren't too concerned with a team winning specific games, just as long as its a winning program. I don't think losing on Saturday (knock on wood) means Shepard won't commit.

If we beat UNLV this Saturday Shepard may cement his decision even faster? ridiculous statement! the outcome of a regular season game in early february is what a kid uses to commit or not?!? come on man!

It just has to feel right, it doesn't matter how much weed or strippers you throw at a kid (see Oregon).

SO when he takes longer can we all start the sky is falling thread? This must mean he wants New Mexico even though the kid has said many of times that he would wait till April to sign

If we beat UNLV this Saturday Shepard may cement his decision even faster? He's going to commit to the winner of Wednesday's UNM/SDSU game

It's not really news worthy enough being anything more than a footnote, right? "He may or may not commit to SDSU next week, and if he doesn't, exploring more options could mean the Aztecs lose their grip on him" isn't exactly hard-hitting stuff. Just a nice little update that covers him if Shepard does commit next week.

It is advantageous for athletes to play their college ball where they plan on living after their playing days are over. That is where their connections are for life after ball. Would you rather have lots of connections in Alb. or San Diego? Can 18 year olds look that far down the road?

From Neal Nieves mailbag (based on a question I asked him via Twitter) Better chance: Winston Shepard to San Diego St or Shabazz To UNLV? This is one is easy. I see Winston Shepard ending up at San Diego State when it's all said and done. As for Shabazz Muhammad, UNLV is in the race - definitely top three, but they are still competing with Kentucky and UCLA so it's going to be tough. californiapreps.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1330005

Y'all think the recent recruitment of Anthony January has caused him to speed up his decision a little bit? The coaching staff probably gave him a heads up.. Either of them in the red and black is a win for us.
