Lol...So much for San Francisco pitcher Sanchez's prediction of a Giants sweep. 3-2 Padre win tonight

Not only was he wrong but he also got the loss. Great job by Bell as well coming in his 4th straight game, hopefully the pads score enough runs to give him a rest Saturday.

Love the fact we took game one, with Latos going today. We should take the series two out of three with the potential of a sweep.
How sweet it is.

I was one of the first guys on the Latos bandwagon three years ago. I'll say it again now, and you can quote this. Mat Latos will win MULTIPLE Cy Young awards.

Gregerson has been a bit more human lately. Again, you have to expect ups and downs. yes Bill, I am aware of his stats from July 9th. I mean very lately. Last couple weeks.

I think Lincecum may have lost some of his luster. He's having a very average season for his standards.

Strikeouts aren't everything. Look at the peripherals.

Add to that his fastball velocity is consistently down 3-4 MPH this year. Making him much more hittable.

Lincecum gives up 4 in the first inning vs Cubs earlier this week...Gives up 4 in the 2nd today vs Padres and gets run in the 4th after giving up 6 runs.

How about that promise dirty Sanchez? Crawl back under your rock douche bag! Not only did we increase our lead but the Giants got lucky they didn't get swept! We had the most guys on base all year yesterday that didn't score, 16 to be exact. Giants got lucky we didn't get a timely hit and sweep there ass! Sanchez= loser douche bag!!! How about that big L you took on Friday night dirty?

Strikeouts aren't everything. Look at the peripherals. ;D Yes his ERA was up to about 3.45 entering today. But he's still very dominating at times, just inconsistent. Point...Ryan. Indeed.

It is interesting that his ERA has increased each month this year. I was surprised in his game log to see Bochy bought him into a game between starts (July 30 v. LA) to get an out. It wasn't even an extra inning game. I guess getting a lefty/lefty matchup against Ethier in the 9th inning of a close game with the bases loaded was worth the risk to Bochy (Sanchez did get him on strikes). But I wonder how wise that is long term considering he is on pace to pitch many more innings than he ever has.

I did amend my post in that thread (shown below) noting that his Hit/Strikeout ratio has dropped considerably even though it hadn't shown up in runs allowed at that point. Now that I look at it again, he has been a little off in his last 4 games. In his last 4 he has given up 7 hits and only had 2 strikeouts. In the 9 games before that he gave up 2 hits and had 13 strikeouts.
