First of all, they guys on The Drive are great and know how to put together a good interview.
really hope Lindley breaks out this year with some crazy stats and, more importantly... WINS, because he is a great guy and is a great face for SDSU football.
I actually ran into Ryan at the All American Grill for one of the BBall coaches shows in the spring. He talked with me for about 5-10 mins about spring ball and he thoughts on the team/ coaches/ etc. He was really thoughtful and I never got the feeling that I was bothering him. I'm a big fan of Ryan and I can't wait to see how he leads this offense for the next 2 years... in fact, I had to buy his replica jersey for this season... I think I'm becoming a stalker ;^)

Kinda dispiriting to hear him talk about the crowds, how they can be a factor at "other" places- and how "we're still gonna play even if only 5,000 show up". You just know they want to play in front of big crowds and it affects them when they don't.

These kids have been working their butts off and they deserve to have the fans out. Actually, going to the basketball games and seeing the atmosphere that we have there makes me pray for some winning seasons, so we can have that kind of energy at the football games... oh, to dream.

The staff should get him used to wearing a knee brace since he's not going to run anyway. When he gets into trouble I'd rather see him drop to the ground instead of trying to scramble.

The media is buying into this team. That will help down the road. We have to build up to that Utah game. So will they remain on our schedule as a Pac 10 school? That will help attendance down the road.

I don't think so. People don't come to see Utah now, and I don't think they will as a member of the Pac 12. We have to build up to that Utah game. So will they remain on our schedule as a Pac 10 school? That will help attendance down the road.

Lindley was asked about playing at Michigan next year. His reply was that he was kidding Sampson and Brown because they won't be making that trip. The question is who will Lindley be throwing to next year? Sandifer certainly-and we're okay at TE but who are the wrs for next year? Kinda thin at this point.

This is fall camp prepping for this season, yet those idiots asked Lindley about a game next year?

Was out at practice this morning and Lindley's upper body is pretty impressive. His arms are huge and he was whipping the ball.

You have to love Lindley. A great Aztec. Dude wants it bad and I think that was some of his 1st quarter jitters. Hopefully he's a bit more comfy in his skin - because outside a few first possessions and a melt down here and there he has been an underclassman stud. he's going to burst out.
