As I recall (my aging memory is faulty at times) he played behind Peterson and started a few games when Peterson left the team for some reason. Hang in there, Matt

My media guide says he played 95-96 and my memory recalls that he is the son of former Charger Dick Van Rapphorst. My sense of decency tells me that the Edmonton Caps Manager has ended any chance to leave the minors and that his parent club should severely suspend and punish him if not cut him loose entirely.

I thought I recognized him so I double checked some box scores. Bill has been a regular umpire at Aztec games. He is a terrific umpire...that story turns my stomach...I wish him the best. Now if he would just make the strike zone a little bigger for his alma mater's pitchers...
