Currently listening to this:
blood in the streets of the town of New Haven, blood stains the roots in the palm trees of Venice, blood in my love in a terrible summer, bloody red sun of fantastic L.A.

Morrison hotel is the best doors album Yes by a lot. "Waiting for the Sun" is their best song (or at least my favorite). Agree, though, there are some killer tracks on s/t debut album: Take it as it comes Crystal Ship and LA woman: Been down so goddamn long Hyacinth house the changeling But morrison hotel is good from start to finish and isn't as bloated with overplayed radio hits

But morrison hotel is good from start to finish and isn't as bloated with overplayed radio hits Well I'm one of these weirdos who almost automatically hates anything that's played on KGB (though I like many of the bands), so of course "Roadhouse Blues" (which IIRC is on Morrison Hotel) is the only song I'd skip. I'm the same way; i'd play maggie mcgill twice to make up for it.

Also, one of the best things about the advent of mp3 players and satellite radio, is I don't even listen to regular, over-programmed, repetitious radio for one second, so some of the songs are almost becoming tolerable again.

One of my favorite all-time... X2 X3 I had a Doors best of CD on which they ended it just before the segue into Blue Sunday. Whoever made that decision deserves to be shot.

"Waiting for the Sun" is their best song (or at least my favorite). That song has to be played at full volume with a 1000 watt power amp, 16" bass speakers and a set of top notch mid's and tweeters. It'll blow your windows out, piss-off your neighbors, and even make the kids with their car stereo boom-boxes jealous. ;D
