From Twitter:
Adam_Schefter Just as Denver adds a RB, New Orleans loses one. RB Lynell Hamilton suffered what the team suspects is a season-ending torn ACL injury.
Kid just can't catch a break.

That sucks. Lynell has so many supporters here in SD and for this to happened is just too bad for him. Let's hope he can rehab and get another chance. Get well Lynell!!!

"Ned 4?" hmmm I sat in Fresburg in the rain and watched Sr Ned and Kyle hammer those toothless freaks into the mud.. Wonder... Poor kid, works hard, great attitude and just keeps getting the S dumped on him.

Train's body certainly has not given him any favors over the years, but still, he's got something only a certain amount of NFL players will ever have - a Super Bowl Ring. Even if he never plays another down, he can look upon his career with serious pride because he suffered the slings and arrows of adversity and never gave up on himself. It would have been easy for him to quit, but he has never believed in quitting. If SDSU had 30 players with his belief in themselves, we'd be going to bowl games every year.

I've got to agree with Bob - while Hamilton's luck with injuries has been horrible he does have a Super Bowl ring. I'll bet there are a lot of players who would have sacrificed some of their careers to get that ring.
Hamilton's persistence and determination are definitely to be admired. He never gave up, and now he's got a Super Bowl ring. Even if he never plays another down (which at this point one does have to wonder) he will have had a remarkable career.

Another tough break for Lynell.
At least this time he has a contract, while being out.
