Greg Anthony is one of my favorite basketball analysts. Good dude.

He was one of the few who acknowledged the Aztecs front line in the pre-season last year. Said we would be a dangerous team way before most of the other guys jumped on board.

As much as I hate to say it, I think the Rebels new Associate Head Coach is really going to help them. A great first hire by Rice.

Greg Anthony is a UNLV alum. Ofcourse he'd pick them. Hell, If I were betting in Vegas, I'm picking them too. They have a better team than us. If we win it will be an upset. I believe we can pull it off though.

Lou Holtz has picked Notre Dame to win every game it has played since he got on ESPN's air.
Just sayin'.

It's not which team you think has the 'best' players. It's which team's players want it the most . We are close enough to UNLV and UNM in skill level to steal the title this year. The Aztecs have learned a lot over the last year and a half about what it takes to win and barring the unexpected have a great chance to do IT again.

It couldn't have anything to do with the fact that UNLV currently has a higher ranking (top 25, RPI and SOS) and better OOC wins? Didn't he pick SDSU to win the conference last year? Maybe he forgot we were in the same conference?

Hey, at least he mentioned us as possibly being a problem for UNLV......he didn't even mention New Mexico.

I would pick UNLV right now also. They have some great wins and seem to be playing really well.
I like Anthony as an analyst. His takes seem well reasoned.

No one mentions NM because they had a tough start and a soft schedule (as always).

This is supose to be a down year for our Aztecs. The fact that we are neck and neck with them speaks volumes for what Fisher has done. Aztecs (no team) wins every year. Next year we will be the favorites. This year we just have to win it as a dog!
