After much ado and a summer of uncertainty , Cal Northridge has hired Fresno State Assistant Matt Curtis as Head Coach. A final sigh of relief for you coach Valenzuela fans.!!! latimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_blog/2010/08/matt-curtis-hired-as-cal-state-northridge-baseball-coach.htmlCurtis is a young dude and does have a reputation as a Very aggressive recruiter. Side note SC hired coach Frank Cruz-formerly of LMU and a SC assistant as an Interim coach. no question , next summers will be VERY interesting. no doubt Rich Hill will be hot on the rumor mill as well as Coach Valenzuela. Interesting landscape in College baseball in Southern California. USC, UNLV, Long Beach State, Northridge all with New HC's. I wonder what this all means if anything..

Appreciate the post on the Northridge coach. Never a dull moment in the wild west.
We have a local boy pitching up there, I hope all works out.

Usually a coaching change means a lot , and I mean a lot of unncertainty for players. This one was so late that I think most of the returning players should be fairly safe. More than a handful of San Diegans on that team. Coach has a reputation. tell your boy to watch his lip
