Cock Chestner is going to get KTFO. Very possible...Overeem can bring it. But, if Brock can take him down (which he can) and keep him there....it's his fight. Overeem is no wrestling star, and he's not a black belt in BJJ. If Brock eats fists, he is probably going out.

Overeem's size gain is suspicious. Not long ago, he was a 205'er losing to the likes of Liddell and Rua.
Now, he's 265 and solid muscle?

The guy very likely used PEDs as opposed to your boy Cock Chestner who we KNOW used PEDs. ;D Overeem lost to Liddell and Rua in the infancy of his MMA career. I'm no Overeem fan but Lesnar's attacking style plays into what the way he fights. Lesnar is proven to have a week chin so unless Lesnar changes the way he fights he's going to sleep IMHO.

You could be right. I would assume Lesnar used when he was in WWE. I don't think he does now. He has been tested often I assume, throughout the years. Overeem raised suspicion recently when he ducked out on a test, but his explanation did seem to make sense.

Pretty simple fight. If Lesnar is smart, he'll attack Overeem's takedown defense. I don't care who you are, if Brock gets on top of you and is SMART about it (not trying to work too fast and be reckless) you aren't getting up. Overeem had to study extra hard to pass his drug test and get a conditional license for this fight. He's had quite a few distractions in training camp, namely his mother's health. Who knows where his focus is for this fight. On the flip side, can Brock take a punch? Overeem is a K-1 level striker, really good in the clinch, excellent kicks and punches. Brock can't last on the feet with the 'Reem. His chin is questionable, as seen in the Cain fight. If Overeem can keep it standing, he'll KO Brock before the end of round 2. If Lesnar can keep this fight on the canvas, exercise dominant position and top control, he'll stop Overeem with strikes, IMO. Gut says Lesnar via TKO early to mid second round. Best part? I'll be in Vegas for New Year's and get to watch this somewhere!

Thanks Josh. Think I might lay a few bucks down on Brock if I can get plus money while I'm out there.

Exhausted, but I'll share my thoughts quickly...Brock did the right thing to retire, IMO. I don't think he has the will or desire to compete at the highest levels possible in MMA. He looked very tentative/slow in this fight, and I have no idea what his gameplan was except to get kneed in the clinch repeatedly. Brock's illness I think took its toll and he's smart for walking away, financially secure. Some people just don't like to get punched in the face for a living. Side note...Shocked at the Fitch fight and disappointed Cerrone lost. I didn't get to watch the card, but sounded like a good night of fights.
