so recruits do not care about being on ESPN family & Sports Center,(exposure), then you say they do not care about Arenas but do care about facilities. Are you also saying your check list is better then Duke or U K. You sign a top 25 recruit- in your 2012 class ,yet do not see him starting over a transfer. How can you lump every recruit into one mold, they each have their own priorities. Is there some reason you Rebs do not go on your own site and debate about your recruits instead of trolling on ours-

Las Vegas is a gambling town which prizes "insider information" especially when it comes to sports. Every UNLV fan I have encountered has had this attitude and thinks they are more in the know than everyone else. Most of them are full of $h!+.

FYI guys. Most recruits could care less about Arenas, fans, or the style of living. All they care about is the coaches, exposure, and facilities. Thats just the facts. Many might come out later and say this or that but kids commit to schools based on what I said above. All that other stuff is just cherries on top. Hey moron, no one on here really gives a rat's ass what you percive to be true when it come's to such matter's with all recruits. How about going back to your own board(assuming one exists) and stop trolling this one with all of your "doom and gloom" news. Mr. all high and mighty "guru" of recruiting info. Idiot.

You ask anyone you want. Shepard is not going to SDSU. UNLV fan will confirm this as well. As soon as you went BW, you were basically eliminated. Oh the irony... You claim that we're all of a sudden an insignificant program with our impending move to the BW, and how it will absolutely detroy our recruiting process, yet you continue to post on the AZTECS forum. Why? I thought we were now insignificant according to you. Pure definition of irony. Now, how about you run along and stop wasting precious bandwitdth on this forum. You're OBVIOUSLY not wanted here anyways. Especially if your sole intention is to come here and talk smack regarding our program. Get lost.

Who was Coach of the Year last year? Exposure? We've definitely improved there, we got a few boys in The League this year. Facilities? Viejas is great, hopefully that Big East money fixes the rest. We definitely have the best "cherries on top," the rest of the sundae is tasting better and better.

Guys it's very obvious when a rival's fanbase comes onto our board and just posts negative, after negative, after negative, that they are just jealous. They have seen the tide turn and that SDSU is the "hottest" thing going. Why else would you waste your time to tell us that this recruit is not goin sign with the Aztecs, or that our new conference affiliation will kill us. One reason: JEALOUSY. Peace out haters.
The jealous know nothing, suspect much, and fear everything. -Curt Goetz

Checked out Pelle's Twitter account today - he is back in Southern California right now. Here are a few comments:
"West coast life is where its at"
"Sumthing crazy can happen in two weeks." "Oh this can b good. It jus hit me."
I know the second semester starts in a couple weeks. Is it possible he can get his academics in order and play the second half of the season? Or is that already totally ruled out as a possibility?

I would think that if he could play this Spring he would have committed already. Not sure of the process but I'm sure the school would need to submit his grades, transcripts, etc. to the NCAA clearinghouse. My guess is that unless he was going back to St. John's, he couldn't play this Spring.

Hasn't he already officially decommitted from Saint John's?
His grades would have to be in order now in order for him to enroll in the Spring. Otherwise, he stands to lose a year no matter where he goes, as opposed to only half a year if he enrolls now.
My tweet to him yesterday
"Will you be at Viejas arena for SDSU/UNLV Jan. 14? I hope you are.. You'll come out of there an Aztec. West coast love."
No response.

I "think" for facilities he is talking about weight room, training area, locker room, etc. The U of Arizona locker room sounds pretty nice: www.signonsandiego.com/news/2011/nov/21/aztecs-know-arizonas-mckale-center-well/

I see where UNLV is after transfer 6'9" center Khem Birch from Pitt. They have two open spots so they can't land everyone of their list of Pelle, Birch, Shepard, Willms, Bennett and Muhammad. It sounds like they are really after Birch which might mean Pelle might be losing steam. All we know is that whoever UNLV ends up with it's because they decided not to recruit the other guys.

I am considering getting a twitter account to followthe these recruits, but I'm afraid I would go crazy with the dizzying amount of posts that go flying through twitterspace.
Mr. Pelle, if you read this, just know that if you come to SDSU you will have the time of your life playing the game you love.

Or is that already totally ruled out as a possibility? The rumor is that he may not be going back to Phelps and can enroll at SDSU or UNLV as a "partial qualifier." Someone recently asked him on Twiiter if he is going to the January 14 UNLV vs. SDSU game and he responded "I don't know (idk)."
