You ask anyone you want. Shepard is not going to SDSU. UNLV fan will confirm this as well. As soon as you went BW, you were basically eliminated. Cosign!

C'mon guys, it looks like he's head to UNLV. And please, of course it's the conference stuff. But, our program is not dead. It looked like we were on the verge of landing a slew of 4* and 5* players and that may not happen now. It doesn't mean, however, that Fisher and co can't be successful recruiting and coaching up 2* and 3* guys. We will be as good as the situation allows and that's still pretty good.

Just curious, anyone confirm who this poster is that revealed this info about Pelle? Is this dude another UNLV pumper making wild claims like all the other UNLV posters? I don't know about the original poster but Mark from Lobolair heard the same things that the UNLV guys are saying and twitter is blowing up with Pelle-to-UNLV rumors tonight. It is what it is.

He didn't commit yet! Everyone take a deep breath. Anyways no matter what happens Fishers proven he can pull transfers and recruit well, even when SDSU was nothing the move to the BW hurts SDSU just as much as it hurts the MW I believe

Of course UNLV and Lobos will say it is a big west thing when they win a recruit. SDSU can't get everyone so these things will come up.

Of course UNLV and Lobos will say it is a big west thing when they win a recruit. SDSU can't get everyone so these things will come up. The real joke is on UNLV, New Mexico, and anyone else stuck in the Mountain West. Don't they get it yet? BYU...gone. Utah...gone. TCU....gone. Now the best basketball program in the WEST in SDSU is off to better things. Unlv and New Mexico are kind of like 2 dudes at the club and they realize it's 2am and all the good looking girls are gone. Sucks to be them. SDSU is the beast and they know it. We are just like Gonzaga (actually better) and Memphis st. Quite honestly with how improved Uc Santa Barbara and Long Beach State are (they have more NBA scouts at their games than the MWC does) and now the addition of SDSU, this makes the Big West better than than the WCC and the Mountain West. Please don't anyone say the PAC 12 is strong (maybe deeper) SDSU has been pounding that league the last few years and will continue to do so. It's a whole new landscape now in the west and SDSU is the King of the beach. It will be great playing the best out of conference schedule in America and watching them on Espn every week on national tv. Can't wait for the big east match ups like Uconn and Georgetown....we will show them also that the "West side....is the best side!!"

This kid changes his mind every five minutes. If he is a "one and done" then why would the BW move have anything to do with his coming to SDSU??? Maybe he doesn't come here but I still think its going be a just as tough a sell for UNLV/UNM to keep recruits in a depleted MW conference with NO TV!
This does make me wonder why Fish passed on Jabari Brown tho. I figured he knew he had Pelle in his pocket and that why he decided against. We'll see, this situation is so fluid and this Kid is 18 years old and super indecisive. Kind of like the Deandre Daniels ordeal. He stated that he had Kansas, Oregon and Texas as his final 3 and he currently plays at UCONN. (and averaging 5 points a game) Fish just needs to ink these high school players we are on right now cause we are loaded for the next 2 years.
Why do these losers come on the board just to give us bad news? Sure don't see them here after we send them packing 8 out of the last 9.
UNLV is like my Redskins, always champion of the off season.

Man... this is bad news. While not the end of the world, one HAS to imagine that the move to the BW had something to do with this. 4-6 weeks ago, he was a "lock" to SDSU from many insiders on this board. I also do not htink he changes his mind as much as people think. He has been rumored to SDSU for months - he was trying to keep things on the low while he was in Prep School and still linked to St Johns.
SDBiased (what happened to him anyway? He is now a "guest" on here - he was providing us with lots of inside recruiting info) was certain Pelle was heading our way as recently as 3 or 4 weeks ago - Just prior to us joining the BW in hoops. To say with certainty that the BW has nothing to do with his decision change is pretty naive.
There seems to be too much heat that he is heading to UNLV for any of us to hold out hope that he will be an Aztec. Like I said, not the end of the world, but he would have been HUGE for us and could have legitly been the difference between a Sweet 16 and a Final 4 run. 6'10"+ athletic big men who block shots and rebound with ease are not a dime a dozen - and we would have had 2 of them in Spencer and Pelle.
With or without him, we are defintiely prepared to make some serious noise next season. Best of luck to Pelle either way.

Let me see.....44-5 over the past two seasons......I think Fish knows what to do. I remember when he took a vacation and the Debbie Downers were crying and moaning about how that was killing the program. There are a lot of great players out there and we wil get our share.

believe the CBS article says he favors UNLV- can anything be binding before the spring signing date. Any chance he takes visit to UNLV or SDSU before he makes a final decision-

Maybe, just maybe, Justin Hutson, Stacy Augmon, Dave Rice are good recruiters. Of course Hutson was a great recruiter for us and people were devastated when he left. And Augmon is a former NBA player who played on the legendary Tark teams.
Maybe this has nothing to do with BW. And... he has not signed yet.

Is he really changing his mind or are people just putting words into his mouth or spreading rumors? From what I heard, he is not making a decision until 2012. He basically tweeted the same thing last night.

Agreed with everything you said ... but it's also possible that it has everything to do with the BW move too? And we might lose a bunch of recruits because of the move, until we prove that it works, and once we do, our recruiting might jump to a new level? One step back ... two forward? We, as fans, are questioning the move ... it's hard to think recruits aren't doing the same thing. We don't know how many conference games will we play (and against which teams), how many Big East teams will we play? It will be very interesting to see who the next commitments are from. The great thing is that they will have a leader (not a follower) mentality. Who wants to lead us into the unknown towards unprecedented success? The last 1-2 recruits for 2012 probably won't tell us much ... but the 2013 recruits that commit early will tell us everything.
