I like the part about toughness and the mentality of the team. Seems to me that by playing as a team that may overcome the Aztec failure to win with the skill talent.
I also like the win the conference as a #1 goal (graduation replaced it later in the interview). I hope all of the assistants buy into that philosophy so that is conveyed to the recruits.
Let's hope his talk = winning.
GO AZTECS!!!!

Look forward to the day when MWC coaches say we have some of the best lineman in the conference.

Look forward to the day when MWC coaches say we have some of the best lineman in the conference. Fact, its been a long time since that was said. On either side of the ball...

Look forward to the day when MWC coaches say we have some of the best lineman in the conference. The last time I heard that, Faulk was still here. Oldie Out

I like the fact that Hoke considers it realistic to win the conference crown; that he expects to win the league. I’ve always respected a coach who aims high because he believes that he can win every game. The outcomes of the games are not determined before they are played. In Hoke, I get this strong sense that he can win every game even if the probability isn’t high. As long as there’s a chance to win, even if the odds are great, he’ll take it.
The players follow coaches who lead by example. Once you have players buy into that winning attitude, the team cultivates and develops a winning culture. This foundation of winning is what Hoke is building. Also I like that he takes all the blame for the losses but gives all the credit to the players for our victories.

That was a great interview. I really think this staff is significantly different than the last three. I am very optimistic about this program's future. It's near future.
