42,137? Not really very impressive for a Sky Show. I've said elsewhere (and so have plenty of others) that this program is a long way from aspiring to be a Top-25 team. That fact is reflected in our attendance.
By the way, what is the likelihood that the Sky Show will revert back to a Padre game? If that happens, our average attendance will take another hit.
Unless we get a lot better on the field more quickly than I believe possible.

I hope we never lose the SkyShow. I don't follow all the law on fireworks so I don't know about Petco.
Even though Skyshow attendance is dipping year by year....42,000 is still very good.
And imagine if the Aztecs were winning and in the Top 25 (or close), SkyShow night would be up around 65,000 or more.

I think the dip in attendance for the Sky Show is more a function of the economy rather than anything with the Aztecs. It may be a factor in our attendance overall.

Give this town a good team and a decent opponent and the attendance will revert to the mid 40's or better for every game and the mid 60s for the sky show.

Last year the Sky show had about the same attendance. Last year the Sky Show was after an Air Force game.

Last year was about the same with a much better match-up and economy. 2009 Attendance: 42,137 v Southern Utah. 2008 Attendance: 43,630 v Air Force 2007 Attendance: 53,110 v Portland State.

The Pink Floyd, Skynrd, Deep Purple crowd is getting a little long in the tooth.... that is also a factor. How does Sky Show play for the 25-40 crowd?
