Well, whether or not someone has verbally committed isn't exactly copyrightable information. It's news. How you report it and exactly what you say about it is copyrightable, but facts are simply information and cannot be copyrighted.

It's okay to post a link. Also, it's okay to summarize copyrighted material. For instance: Rivas is saying that Joe Jumpshot is a 4-star athlete and has verballed to East Overshoe State College of Culinary Science.
The situation gets problematic when one quotes copyrighted material verbatim. It's legal to post short portions of a copyrighted work; that's called "fair use." The problem is the definition of "fair use." Good rule of thumb; quote only very short passages from a work,such as a sentence or a short paragraph.
