Hoke said receiver Vincent Brown went from 180 to 198 this offseason.
Holy Crap.

Hoke said receiver Vincent Brown went from 180 to 198 this offseason. Holy Crap. And it's "really good mass." As opposed to the 18 or so lbs. I've put on over the last decade which would have to be categorized as really BAD mass.

He said the Oline lost weight, but have they in turn gained muscle?

Hoke continues to be critical of the condition of his offensive line last year. He talks about their losing weight (which, if you recall he also did last year) and that it was not "good" weight. They were, in other words, fat and out of shape last year. There has been a consistency in his remarks over the last 1 1/2 years about the physical condition of his team. Which has been "not good." I agree with his premise. He has also been consistent in stating they have improved. Let us hope they have sufficiently improved in their eating and work out habits to make a difference this year. The Fred Noonan School of Navigation.

why wouldn't they have a reserve QB , RB, or WR hold for the place kicker,( to replace King instead of the punter), better if you were going to fake a FG , or if the hike was off, would not want an injury to our punter

I asked the same question, especially considering what a huge asset a phenomenal punter like Stajovich is.
Hoke mentioned how Brian was working "night and day" at it. My theory is that he wants to make it in the NFL and having some holding experience may give him an edge in trying to make an NFL roster.

Likely so, it is the exception when a punter isn't holding in the NFL, like romo botching that snap

The SDSU football team just can't seem to get over last season. The team lost its last four games and missed out on a bowl game, and it's apparently still eating at the Aztec squad.
As it damn well should. It should eat at them, consume their thoughts and remind them that they should never go through a collapse like that again. And I'm quite sure Brady is reminding them of that every day of the week.

Totally agree bob... it should be in their thoughts 24/7... pushing them... motivating them... and then hopefully in the 4th quarter this season... they will be ready to eat the clock and take the W
