I blame it on the economy.
College kids are finding it harder to find an hourly job and spend their disposable income on booze.

Although that article just got posted, it's old news. Don't remember how old, but we dropped out of the top rankings last semester. I agree, it's not a particularly good list to be topping, but there are some here who take pride in the party school status. I'd just like to see us hit a coulple football/basketball top 25's while posting a high APR and topping the Rivals Recruiting lists. Those are the kinds of lists I'd like to see us on. Besides, USD is taking over the party school aura (well, at least it looks that way from the South Mission Beach vantage point). The Fred Noonan School of Navigation.

We're still on Playboy's Top 10. Princeton Review can shove it.

The geographic distribution is suspect. East coast bias I say.

We're still on Playboy's Top 10. Princeton Review can shove it. The Playboy list is the Gold Standard. How knows more about partying? Playboy or Princeton?

SDSU has made a conscious effort to kill the Greek System. Fraternity Row was the worst idea for the fraternities and the best idea for the administration.
Which is too bad, since fraternities are generally held to a higher academic standard than most other students, and because college is supposed to be a learning experience both academically and socially.
I'm not saying fraternities and sororities have no drawbacks, only that without them social skills, networking, and the ability to shotgun a beer all suffer as a result.
You can party outside of the fraternities, sure, but to get on a list like this one requires nationally recognized parties, such as Chi's 'Reggae Sunsplash'. That party was actually reviewed by a magazine, I believe.
'John's Birthday Bash' never made it on anyone's list.
