Look, I'm getting tired of hurling rhetorical spitballs at Barack Obama. Really, I am. I would love to say, "Well, that's a great policy the President has just announced. Now he's talking sense!" I am still waiting for that moment to arrive. For instance, I'm still waiting for B.O.H. to get some economic sense into his head. You want an example? Here's one. The whole administration concept in the area of encouraging "green" cars is misguided. Badly misguided. Details from Slate.com follow . . . www.slate.com/id/2262229/AzWm

I really like the idea of the all electric car. The problem that when you pencil out the real cost, it does not yet make sense nor does the inconvienience of the short range. When they extend the range and place a solar panel on your garage roof for recharging along with range extension through solar on the roof of the car, I can wait.

We need a man like FDR to ram things through Congress. Resurrect him and I am certain that we could get good policy implemented to pursue practical goals and achieve practical results.
