Bowling ball.
Great for back for 3rd and short. They won't see him until he hits the whole and with the low center of gravity has great leverage. If he gets passed the LBs he can punish the secondary.

Watched most of the video...In college, a fullback and short yardage situation RB, in my opinion. Definitely a 3 yards and a cloud of dust runner. Hits the hole hard and goes north and south.
We need one of these types of backs.
Looks like a good get.

He could be the next Binky Benton. Definitely a Binky Benton clone for those of you who go back that far.

ESPN lists him as 5'6'', Rivals @5'9". A straight ahead runner, not afraid of contact. Didn't appear to be able outrun anyone. Does appear to get to the hole quickly but is he fast enough for a D-1 RB? So what do we do with him? Put another 20lbs on him and make him a FB? LBer? Thats what I saw too RIck- good burst not great but that was it...Nose for the open field and tough but really kinda looked slow to me...

If that's the music he likes my only question might be, "Can he stay out of jail."

He looks like a good little fb,has good leverage on his tackles which should translate to blocking. He has good hands so he can sneak out and catch a few. Short yardage back small hard to see follows his blocks has great vision. I thin,he will be hard to stop on short yardage and sometimes will turn a two yard run into a ten yard one.

Agree on all counts. I know it was a highlight video, but how many times did he try and bounce it outside? Most of time, he pointed the cleats south and let loose with good vision in the hole.

My guess is he will either be a FB or move to D and play the Warrior spot.

Looks like a true football player. The guy needs to be making contact with someone.
He's listed at 5'7" by various reports, which seems way too small to play FB at the 1A level. Also, we already have a FB commit Rob Andrews, who's listed at 6'2" 208, and who should have no problem packing on 15 pounds of muscle in a college weight program.
5'7" also seems too small to play the Warrior position. I also don't see him roaming around the secondary looking to make tackles and deflect passes. Seems we have better options for that position - maybe even Rob Andrews.
I could see him as a RB option in a two-back set, or as Steveem says above in short yardage situations or sneaking out of the backfield.

looks a little slow, but has a nice spin move, good vision and likes contact, which will definitely help counter act the lack of speed

For the optimists, Price will be a great pick for SDSU. #1, he is scholar student. 3.5 over GPA, 1400 on SAT's. Comes from a family of Baseball and Football players. Lenny Randle (MLB), Bradley Randle (UNLV RB, check the similarities on youtube.com) and his Dad was a D1 RB, Rick Price. The film you are looking at on youtube has been cut from 9th and 10th grade film. His junior film has not even been cut yet AND he still has a senior campaign to tend too. The kid is very elusive, STRONG, quick, has an excellent burst off the LOS. He lacks acceleration 20 yards up field, which is something that can he can learn to tap into once he is around faster athletes. He will be a load to bring down. I believe that is what SDSU coaches saw in him. Also he is being recruited by SJSU, CPSLO, UTEP, Cornell and he was going to just walk-on at ASU. Trust that you guys have a good pick up!!

We just need to keep getting good players with some brains and character and it will work itself out where they play.
