I'll go out on the limb and say 94.
Oh, I expect to be about five rows back behind home plate today. Wave if you see me.

Nobody else even wants to venture a guess? Even this close to the end of the season. As most of you know, I am almost always right. (Except for when I am wrong.)

Mid eighties. They have 76 now, and I doubt they'll win more than a dozen for the rest of the season.
This is the time of year when they traditionally go into the tank.

I don't remember the Padres ever going "in the tank" at the end of an otherwise good season. Do you have any examples of this from the last 40 years? Interesting that you're now predicting collapse after the team has lost 5 in a row. Great 20/20 hindsight. But last I checked the team was still in first by 5 games. Do you have any other observations Mr. Insight???

95. Although I'm concerned they may have lost their focus. Last Saturday after the Philliy game some players were being interviewed and someone commented about how the team could see the finish line.
That's bad, since what seemed to make this group special is its ability to focus on the task at hand and not look ahead. The finish line is a lot of games away.
Hopefully they can finish what they started.
