Nancy Pelosi promised to "Drain the Swamp" when the Democrats took their huge majority in Congress. Apparently she never reached the bottom, as the biggest Turd of all, was hiding at the bottom of the bowl. Charlie Rangel, enjoy your ethics trial. I know I will.

In communist China, these types of corrupt politicians would face the firing squad.
Western Democracy is more civilized than that, and we quite often put the offenders in Luxury Golf Resorts for a few years and then let them go with an admonition to sin no more. Does this have any real deterrent effect?
