Hoke let it slip during his media day presser that Thursday is final testing day in the weight room for the team. Any chance any of you connected Aztecs can give us the 411 on how guys did, strongest guys, most improved, etc...
If the coaches don't want it out I'll understand but it sure would be cool to get the scoop on how Coach Wellman's program is progressing our players.

The timing of Thursday Night's AZTEC CLUB Happy couldn't be better for finding out stuff like this...directly from Coach Hoke. All of you that show up...will be "well connected" for a night.

Not connected, but I am in regular contact with three young players who are entering their third year on campus and are counted as sophomores for football purposes. To a man, they have the greatest respect for Coach Wellman who they generally describe as someone who is "really tough on us, but really cares about us." Most recently: "He's got us doing things we never thought possible." I realize that does not address the questions of who is the strongest or most improved, but it does answer some questions about what these players think of the strength and conditioning program and the guy who runs it. As an aside, these are three really outstanding character guys who will contribute this year and maintain Dean's list level GPA's.

Sounds like the team is "buying in" to a winning system.
When that happens, improvement is inevitable.

From the XX interview, Scott and BR saw the football team at the DC memorial and deduced that the weight training was "going very well".

I seem to read and hear nothing but great things about Coach Wellman's work. I hope it pays off this season!

That was my favorite question from the video. The rest were mostly fluff but I was very interested in finding out about concrete gains in our teams strength. One of the biggest knocks against the Aztecs in previous years has been our size, we look like juco players compared to some other teams.

I am well connected but have no inside information about the football team.

Every year it is the same thing. We hear that the team has had 100% participation and worked hard in the weight room.
Then they take the field and like they are a DIAA team.
Show me wins on the field not lifting charts.
