Clayton Kershaw will start his 5 game suspension Tuesday. It is strange that the Dodgers don't time the 5 day suspension across a day off so they won't have to either:
1. Pitch a pitcher on short rest 2. Use an extra pitcher
But that is their choice. According to the press the Dodgers will pitch their two #5 starters, Monasterios and Ely, on Friday and Saturday in SF. That leaves Sunday as a question mark. Whoever they pitch will not face the Padres in the following 4 game series in LA. It could be Billingsly or Kershaw. Let's hope they make the right decision and pitch Kershaw in SF on Sunday. They should since they have trouble winning on the road but not at home.
