Eastern League play opens up with a bang when two of its best teams go at it in the most anticipated game of this week. St. Augustine hopes to keep their perfect season alive when they visit a Mira Mesa team that’s in need of a confidence booster after blowing a 21-7 halftime lead last week in their loss to Madison. The Saints should come into this game very confident after leaving Eastlake with a nail biting come from behind victory.

This will be Mira Mesa’s 2nd straight unbeaten opponent. So far this season they have yet to defeat a top 10 team and 2 out of their 3 wins were close games against teams they should’ve blown out. So can they get over the hump and finally put a “signature win“ on their resume? Not this week!
