Been watching this guy start for four years. Always liked him. Seems to never miss a down.
Few years ago on Time-Warner Fox West saw the ASU game. The announcers were all over them selves about Iosefa as a big time player and Pac-10 caliber. They were amazed that the Aztecs used a center to pull and he got to his man. They replayed him a lot as he pancaked a couple of ASU defenders.
Hear very little about him on the Aztec front. I always felt the Long staff and than Hoke was disappointed no one was able to oust him from the line up.
I think he is under rated and very under valued. Or am I wrong. Is he an average guy on a lousy line?

Rock solid. Not amazing but durable, dependable and gets the job done. I'd say he's one of the few bright spots on a lousy line.

A solid player, blue collar mentality, goes after people and hates to get beat. He uses great technique and leverage. He plays a lot bigger and stronger than his stature.

Sure he didnt get lost on his way to a power like NM and just signed a LOI? We do KNOW Long NEVER stepped foot on any of the HS powers in North County (funny one actually had 3 players go into the NFL) Steve drop it- the guys record and actions speak for themself.

He can't be. He is a Chuck Long recruit. Actually, he's not. Are you saying Chuck Long and staff didn't recruit him? Who recruited him? That puts him as a recruit by Chuck Long and staff.

I guess someone must have harangued Chuck Long here because he only responds when that happens.
To the point, he a very solid player on what has been an abysmal line - a 4 year starter at Center is rather impressive.

Go, Trask!
Hoke says the team plays for its seniors. I am starting to see why, especially as he rebuilds. What a reward, after suffering through years of incompetence, to finally play for a coach and staff that know what they are doing. So, team, go get a bowl game and a bowl-game victory for this group of seniors who began under Craft, suffered Long, and are now playing their final year of college ball!

He is good and very solid. That is one position you don't have to worry about and know you will get solid play from.

Don't let facts deter you from blind allegiance to a coach that sported a .250 winning percentage

Wow, is it just me, or is that a very uninspiring list of recruits?

He is good enough to be one of the few Aztecs ever to be a 4 year starter. As said before, he is a good person and great leader...probably a Captain this year...if not, I'd be surprised.

I don't know about Trask, but it's not wise to stick with seniors only. I think Hoke did it last year strictly because he wasn't sure of what he inherited. Now he does. When you're building a team you need to go with the best, regardless of class. Make no mistake, we're still building.

Wow, is it just me, or is that a very uninspiring list of recruits? Actually on LOI day, it was a very inspiring list. Problem is how virtually none of the 3-star and literally neither of the 4-star guys panned out. The two 4-star guys, Mauga and Tyrell Smith, never qualified. As to the 3-star guys: IIRC Flunked Out After One YearMicah Strickland Too Light Initially, then Injuries Ruined His CareerTony DeMartinis (but props for never giving up and getting his degree) Quit Football After a Couple SeasonsWaika Spencer Who?Josh Gomez Nick Smith Josh Walker Never More Than Part-time StartersRamsey Fiapai Steve Schmidt Mekell Wesley Showed Flashes But Never Really Panned OutRoberto Wallace A 3-Year Solid StarterLuke Laolagi There you have it. Thirteen guys who were expected to be long-time starters but only one managed to do so. That's just awful, frankly.
