Mount Miguel Matadors @ Helix Highlanders (October 7, 2011)
Last Meeting: 10/08/10 Mount Miguel 7 @ Helix 34
The Claymore Sword will be on the line when these long time rivals duke it out for East County bragging rights. Helix has been on a roll since losing their season opener to Eastlake. After running through their last 3 challengers by an average of 30 points, they now have to face what could be their biggest challenge of the season so far. Unbeaten Mount Miguel should come into this game hungry for revenge and ready take over as the premier team in the East County.

My Prediction:
Helix will be heavily favored to win this game and rightly so, but don’t sleep on Mount Miguel. This will be their chance to prove once and for all that they’re for real and their current unbeaten record isn’t due to weak opponents. Going into the house of their hated rivals who happens to be one of the top teams in the county and stealing a win could put them near the top of everyone’s rankings and earn them the respect they been seeking for a long time. With that said I expect Helix to some how come away the win. Whether I’m right or wrong this should be an exciting game full of big plays from both sides of the ball.
