I would never want Kawhi Leonard representing SDSU in person on the recruiting trail.
Mentioning him would is a tremendous asset, getting to play a pickup game with him at the ARC would be really cool for recruits.
Not that he would ever in a million years agree to it, but keep him out of their living rooms.

Whoa..you sound like a HATER! I believe Mr. Leonard would be a great representative on behalf of the Aztecs.
Do you really believe that a high school recruit wants to meet an Aztec player who did not make it to the League?
Dude, that's all high school and college players think about a daily basis..making it to the freaking League! Here's a news flash for you.. Mr. Leonard was drafted by an NBA Team in the 1st round!

You are right and wrong depending on the person. And although Leonard might have been a 1st round pick and probably the most talented player ever to play for SDSU, ... according to various references, he is more of a shy introverted personality ... and based on observations at the basketball banquet, Leonard was ready for the night to be over the second it started. I'm sure if Leonard was committed to recruiting players to SDSU he would be solid, if not great, based on experience .... but I'm sure the only thing he cares about right now is the San Antonio SF starting position and how to improve himself as a player. And many of the greatest basketball players of all time have failed at coaching, recruiting and motivating and were often regarded as terrible, uncharismatic people.

Luke doesn't have to worry about actually playing basketball or earning a contract or anything. He's a bench warmer who is overpaid. I'd rather have Kawhi working on his game and preparing for the NBA (whose lockout is rumored to be ending soon by the way.)

Luke is probably already looking ahead to a future coaching career and wants to gain experience. My point was that it would be hard for Leonard to try to sell players on a dream ... when he's still trying to chase his. Maybe ten years from now, when he's out of the league (and 60 million richer) ... if he wants to come back and sell kids on his school, then great. But right now, his team, his motivation and his desires are all about the San Antonio Spurs ... not SDSU. That won't sell any recruits on committing.

any word where Lo Wade is playing these days. Maybe Mr Leonard could help after he signs contract by donating a new practice facility or to the basketball budget for both mens and womens programs

Luke Walton played a role on a championship winning dynasty and he is setting up his next move, as his playing days are pretty much over. We would be proud to have Kawhi be in the same position as Luke some day. Kawhi can best serve Aztec basketball by making an impact on the Spurs, having a great career, and winning a few NBA titles.

Please. If Kawhi took a job with another school you would disown him.

Please. If Kawhi took a job with another school you would disown him. Who was this directed at? If it was me, then know that I wouldn't disown him. I'm going to buy a Spurs jersey to support him even though I've been a Laker fan since I was 7. Actually, I would be disappointed in him if that school was BYU. Disown? Nah. He's already an Aztec for Life.
