So far this season Army and Mich have played the Aztecs on their biological time. In 2014, the Aztecs travel to the EST again to play Navy. In 2016, the Aztecs travel back to the EST to face Cincy. I think and feel that to best prepare for those games, aside from the 6am practices, that the ad should schedule 2 games starts in the a.m. at the Q during the 2013 and 2015 seasons. Yes, it sucks for tailgating, but one can always start tailgating the night before, as it is sometimes done at USC. Further, those two games will be in September during OOC play. So, there will be a lot of season remaining for those of us who have to tailgate every home game. But, having two 9am start times at the Q can definitely payoff diviendens during each of those seasons. I do realize that scheduling am games might be easier said than done b/c of media bureaucracy. I have read many bad ideas since the advent of the Internet but this might be the worst. Congrats on making history.

Just pay the piper and travel back east a day earlier, get up early, practice when the game is to be played and win.
I use to travel alot more than I do now but it's very important to "live" in the time zone you're traveling to asap and that includes changing your clocks when you board the plane. If you keep thinking what time it is where you came from then it's harder to get in tune as fast.

Not too sure Cincinnati is still on the schedule. Are they?

Fantaztec, hypobelize much?
Bruce, I agree mentality has alot to do with it. The ad can't pay the piper for the extra early wake up call.
Rickdoerr, yes Cincy is on the schedule. But there is some conflict. FBSchedules.com has 'em our '16 schedule. Cincy has us on their '12 schedule (http://www.gobearcats.com/sports/m-footbl/future-schedules.html) I couldn't verify which is correct on goaztecs.cstv.com.

Yes I do hyperbolize much, I'm not sure about how much I hypobelize. The lost gate revenue for the two home games is not worth the one win in EST.
We don't even know if those games back east will be noon start times.
Which OOC teams can we lure into a 9 am empty stadium game? And who exactly would televise that?
And I might be crazy, but didn't we beat Army?
And lastly, out of all the west coast teams in the history of football that have had to travel back east, does it make you scratch your head that not one of them has ever prepared for that trip by playing two games at 9 in the morning? You really think you stumbled onto the idea that will give us a huge edge to win one game? Or maybe no one has done it because it's an awful idea.

I think the whole 9am PDT stuff is nonsense. This is a media fabrication that was made-up about 5 years ago. Granted, we haven't played a lot of games at 9 am, but the Chargers have and have won a bunch. Never heard about it before. Who seriously believes that the game yesterday would have been much different if it had started at 3:00 EDT? We played our best at Army a little after the game started.

How about instead of screwing ourselves on two home games...is it possible to have it put into the contract signed with the Eastern school that the game must not start before 1:00?

Fine, jerks! I'll concede it was a bad idea. But let's be honest. Who was happy about having to wait until 7:30 pm to play Cal Poly? Even Coach Rock wasn't happy about that.
