The UT announced the three teams that will be playing in our tourney on November 11,12,13....UC Davis, Southern Utah, and Bryant University. By studying the other teams sites we can figure out when the Aztecs are playing, however, there are some inconsistencies on the sites.
I find it odd, that our site shows TBA for all games, yet they all have specific opponents and times...One of the sites calls our tourney the World Vision Invitational.
Here are our games if they are not changed of course.... Friday November 11th Aztecs vs. Bryant University at 7:30 Saturday November 12th Aztecs vs.Southern Utah at 7:30 Sunday November 13th UC Davis at 3:00
I will let some of you others give some additional info on the other teams as we approach the games.

Interesting November 12th is a hoops/football double header with basketball getting the late game.

good pick up there...game at Colo St. should start at 3:00 San Diego time then....good double header with plenty of time between games...as i posted, while studying the other schools schedules, there are two inconsistencies that i noticed....i would imagine that our game times and opponents are solid though....is it my imagination, or are the Aztec VERY SLOW at posting schedules? ??

We have a very tough schedule overall, no problem padding it with some W's....A few items I learned about the team teams....So Utah is coached by our old friend, Roger Reid who of course was the head man at BYU a few years back. Bryant appears to be the weakest of the three teams glancing at their schedule....UC Davis plays in the very competitive Big West Conf. where Long Beach St. and Pacific are always tough.

These are the best teams the aztecs could get? I don't think that was the idea. We have a very inexperienced team and we're trying to break them in and get them to learn to play together. Doing that against 3 lesser opponents at home is the perfect way to do that.

Yuck. But I guess we are here to see the Aztecs no matter who they are playing. Go Aztecs! Go Fish!

Both SoUtah and Davis will be trouble.

Some of you guys are a real pain in the ass sometimes. Get some wins against some layups and let's go from there. We've had several years when we open up with a tough road game. We dont have as experienced as team as those years, so lets roll with it, pick up a few wins, shake off the early rust, and build some confidence.

These are the best teams the aztecs could get? Our schedule is murder for a team that lost all we did. These games are exactly what we need.

Totally agree....We all need cupcakes, and not too long ago, we were the cupcakes on other team's schedules....Look at nearly every power team in the country and they all have some on their early season schedules.

Noticed that UC Davis seems to be upgrading their schedule...They play Stanford and UCLA this season. The Bruin game is at the HONDA Center I believe because Pauley is closed for construction this season...Most of their games will be played at the old Sports Arena which is right next door to the USC campus.

I'm happy to start with a few cupcakes. We start with two exhibitions, and these 3 tourney games at home ... before playing our next 9 of 10 games against top 100 RPI, and likely ncaa tourney teams, and we will be lucky (and pretty good) if we can actually start the season at 8-5.
Just look at our games from mid Nov through mid January ... it's a brutal 10 game stretch. We might possibly lose every single road game, except at USD, and possibly even lose 1-2 of the home games (unlv, cal, usc, creighton, LBSU).

Got it, makes sense!
Just would like to see some big teams come more often. Very jealous of the teams who play on the big tourneys and wish we could get something like that here in SD! Playing on the Midway would be awesome, hate watching ESPN and the like come here to put other teams in the homes across America!
