If he can be had for the right price he'd be a good get but is he really that much better than what we have?

Is Dejesus in his final year? 6.0 Million club option for next year. That is cheap.

If he can be had for the right price he'd be a good get but is he really that much better than what we have? What do we have in LF? Two reserves that have been playing well (so far) and Scott Hairston who (historically) hits lefties well. All those players are right handed. Against RHPSH .229 .322 .386 .708 AC .245 .264 .327 .591 CD .270 .303 .492 .795 DD .339 .396 .469 .865 (2010) DD .283 .364 .447 .811 (2007-2009) So Yes, he is that much better. He has never been in a pennant race. I think he would come in and really get a jolt from playing for the Padres. He would go on a tear.

David DeJesus against the NL this year:
vs. ATL .417 .462 .750 1.212 vs. CIN .444 .615 1.000 1.615 vs. COL .364 .462 .455 .917 vs. HOU .500 .500 .500 1.000 vs. STL .462 .462 .462 .924 vs. WAS .250 .250 .250 .500 vs. NL: .408 .462 .549 1.011 (71 AB)
He killed the NL in interleague play. They don't know him as well. He would rock coming to the Padres and for once in his MLB career being in a pennant race.

He's done for the year. Who's next on the radar?
