In a recent thread the question about which RS frosh would make an impact was posed. I'm wondering which of those guys were originally C. Long recruits that Hoke honored, which were strictly from the new staff? It doesn't matter too much, but I'm curious.

Good question...
The first that comes to my mind (who really isn't a redshirt but sat out last year due to Admin screw up) is Ronnie Hillman.
Other that I "think" were Chuck Longs are...
Jacob Driver Colton Morrison (who was actually a grey shirt)
I'm drawing a blank on the others, but there should be about 7 total.

Looking at their commitment date, these guys were clearly Chuck Long recruits too: Marvin Jones; Osmond Nicholas; Nick Tenhaeff.
Tenhaeff is the one who really interests me. He primarily played tailback at Atascadero HS but played both ways as a junior and senior, playing safety as a junior and LB as a senior. So although he was lured to SDSU by Bob Elliott to play LB, the roster lists him as still weighing just 210 and I think he could actually fit better at some other position in the 3-3-5.
