They gave the Padres an "A"
- Offense + defense + pitching + bullpen
They predicted 39-34 for the 2nd half and 2nd place to the Rockies.

Can't argue with that to much. Hopefully we can get a bat by the trade deadline and improve our offense. It would be nice to get another starter for the rotation since we are going to rest Latos a bit. Just hope that we can hold everybody off and win the division.

The Padres do a lot of the little things very well:
Grounded into the fewest double plays in MLB. One of the best SB/CS ratios. 3rd in MLB in SB/CS ratio against. 2nd fewest errors. Least unearned runs allowed Fewest hit batters allowed. Fewest wild pitches.

I see no reason the Padres should suddenly become average after playing very well over the past 150 games.

Finally have an owner and fricking GM that understand that pitching and defense and speed wins games and that Petco is not a park for power. This team is a pleasure to watch. I do hope they can get a bat but the Giants are also after a bat and it may cost too much.
