Anyone else here into cycling? American cyclists Levi Leipheimer (Team Radioshack)won stage 1 of the Race. He just bursted the last 500 meters. Non of the sprinters was gonna catch once he bolted. So far, he's won the two major U.S. cycling races Tour of Cal and Tour of Ute.

Yes. Caught the replay at 8 PM on Versus. Great to see many of the top Tour de France riders, here in the states. Also for the Tour of Cali. Having 4 great teams US Based means having access to the riders on those teams, and gives the US pro races greater Cred.
Levi is the man. also check out Chrishornerracing.com for some cool pics of Chris on the Sunrise highway near MT Laguna. He trains in the county.

It is awesome to see so many TdF top riders/teams. I am happy again to seem Americans occupy the top two podium spots. The T o Cal has been very good. It's gonna keep rising in the world of cycling champs. I was happy to hear that it's sponsorship was extended after this past tour. I hope that Team Exergy (whom I'm rooting for) keeps rising. So far they've made a little noise, but need to make much more to get respect from the more established int'l teams.
I'm gonna check out the site.

Really dissapointed to hear team HTC has been forced to disband due to the inability to secure a sponsor. How can this be? The top team on the pro circuit, can't find a Corporation for $20 million a year, to have their Corporate name flown for 3 weeks every July to a massive TV audience at the TDF?
Sad.

When, I heard that I was in shock too. HTC is coming up in the mobile world. I can not believe that no other major/global company wanted to partner.
Last night I read that teams Leopard Trek and Radioshack Nissan are merging. I guess this would be considered a super-conference of the cycling world.
